What Is the Best Multi Platform DVD Burner For The Money

I'm getting ready to buy my 1st DVD burner in a couple of weeks, so I cruised buy Best Buys web page just to see what the prices were running. I was kinda shocked at how low the prices were on some of the drives. I seen a Digital Research combo drive for $150.00 (- a $20 Rebate), and a Universal BUSlink combo drive for $129.00 (- a $30 rebate). I was just wondering if these drives are any good. I was leaning towards getting The Sony Model: DRU-510A Combo Drive. I read good Things about this drive and $180.00 (- a $30.00 rebate) didn't seem like a bad price to me, but then again I am ignorant about DVD burners.(LOL) I was just wondering if some of you guys out there could point me in the right direction and give a newbie some good advice. TIA for any info.
